I disagree that Naples has little to offer aside from Archaeological Museum. It is a large, bustling city with many interesting sights. I haven't been to the other two ports but would not rate them as high as these four from what I have read. While we've enjoyed a quick look at a selection of Mediterranean ports, there are plenty more. Whether that's touring ancient sites in Greece, crossing off some of those "must see" highlights in Italy or France, or just relaxing on the beach of your dreams. Six cruises and I have only done one cruise ship excurision,, all the other times I got ideas and directions off of cruisecritics other forum memembers.. Cruise ship excursion to similar would have been like 50 or more dollars a head! Also, if you can't find a tour company, Viator.com will find you a tour, we have had great success with them booking shore excursions. You will be able to "talk" with people who have done your exact cruise, or are about to, and they will be able to give out specific tips and tour guide names, and whos the best taxi driver etc.. Someone can tell the local bus to take, another may share their experience with a private guide, etc. There is NO guide book as helpful as that forum for cruisers only.
