Carrie was born February 15, 1942 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Alphonso and Carrie Stepney. She was also preceded in death by her four brothers, Willie, Alphonso, Jr., Charles and John Arthur Stepney and one sister, Arveria Everett.

Thomasine Whitaker, known as “Gator” or “Chief”, was born to the late Mary Whitaker-Chandler and Lonnie Whitaker, Sr. on February 18, 1957. On Friday, March 30, 2018, Bernard Timothy Small, Sr., returned to his heavenly home. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, great uncle and friend. Bernard aka (Timmy/Timothy), was born to the late Bishop Thomas J. Small and the late Evangelist Ruth Ann Small. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and attended his father’s church Phillippi COGIC. He was a member of the church choir and played drums, saxophone and loved music. LaGretta M. Hammond passed away peacefully April 11, 2018. She was born in Norfolk, VA. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School class of 1963 and loved the marching band. She was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and an avid Bingo player. Gayland George, 63 departed this life on April 6, 2018.
She attended Camelot Elementary, Deep Cree Junior High and graduated from Deep Creek High all in Chesapeake, VA. She played volleyball, basketball and ran track in school. She later met and married Maurice Boney, Sr. from that union they had three children. Ositee, Maurice Jr., and Xion Boney all of VA Beach and one grandson Kingston M. Boney.
Later he joined the United States Army and served as a Paratrooper. Clarence had many fond memories of his time in the service. Routinely having multiple jobs simultaneously, Clarence was known as a hard worker. He began working as a young boy delivering groceries. Funeral homes curate a final ceremony that provides space for guests to begin the journey through grief together.
